This work decenters the human and asks how sound and relationship can help life on Earth grow. Within Earthly cycles, the elements work together to create balance to allow life to grow, and there is an ecopoetics to the way humans can be in relationship with this balance. The sound installation plays a composition made with all of the elements, emitting sonic frequencies and sounds that have been scientifically studied to help plants grow. Plants from Descanso Gardens receives the music; as the work is just as much for plants as for humans. Enlivened through instrument-earthen sculptures made with the local land, this piece dances with intercommunications towards harmonious co-existence of life on Earth.
